The Lotus Exige S2 was first released in 2004 at the Geneva Motor show. The early vehicles were fitted with the naturally aspirated 189BHP Toyata engine however in late 2005 Lotus released the Exige S, supercharged and with 218BHP the car could now sprint from 0-60 in just 4.1 seconds.
This particular Exige is an incredibly late car built in 2010. This means the car has the popular facelift styling and was tuned from factory to a staggering 240BHP and is more commonly known as an Exige S240.
This particular S240 is arguably one of the most desirable variants fitted with the Touring and performance packs. The exterior is finished in the incredibly popular and iconic Chrome Orange metallic with satin black wheels and a black leather interior. The overall condition is fabulous with just 4 loving former keepers with the previous owning the car for over 5 years.
The car has been incredibly well throughout its life with 10 service stamps in the book. Upon sale the car will receive yet another service in house by Castle Lotus to ensure all is perfect for another year of motoring. The car retains its factory service booklet and accompanying wallet along with the various owner manuals. Two full size keys are present along with a variety of historic MOT certificates and service invoices. The car has covered a mere 42,000 miles from new and was never used on track by the previous keeper.
Throughout the cars life a variety of performance upgrades have been undertaken to further the driving experience. A sports clutch was fitted along with a Sports Catalytic converter. Along with adding a little more power the sports CAT only further enhances the incredible noise from the supercharged engine. Brand new Quantum Racing suspension has just been fitted along with new rear discs and pads.
