The BMW Z4M was first released in 2006 with production running until 2008. The ‘M’ was powered by the very special and highly praised S54 straight six engine as seen in the equally impressive E46 M3. Rated in the WARDS 10 best engines for three years running the S54 is a strong and purposeful powerplant. The 3.2 litre straight six engine produces a healthy 338BHP at 7900 RPM with 269lbft of torque. Weighing just 1485KG the Z4M sprints from 0-60 in just 5 seconds. Unlike the standard Z4 range the M switched from electronic to hydraulic steering. This gives greatly increased feel through the steering creating a real drivers car, combined with a manual 6-speed gearbox and a 3.2 litre naturally aspirated engine and the result is driving heaven.
This particular Z4m is finished in the beautiful Interlargos Blue metallic (A30) with a full black leather interior. The bodywork work presents in very good condition with no dings, dents, scratches and most importantly no rust. The car has been recently machine polished and presents incredibly well. The 19-inch wheels are finished in silver and contrast perfectly with the metallic paintwork. The interior condition is equally impressive with very minimal wear showing just how well this car been looked after throughout its life.
This Z4M has been incredibly well maintained from the day it left the BMW showroom. The car has ten service stamps in the booklet with its last service a major inspection 2 carried out in August 2020 under 3,000 miles ago. This car has also had a huge amount of preventative maintenance carried out to ensure long-term health. At circa 70,000 miles the bottom end bearing were replaced. This eliminates a possible common fault. The vehicle has also had a Vanos rebuild with the revised oil discs helping prevent failure. At this time an anti-rattle kit and solenoid were also fitted.
Further maintenance includes an engine mount upgrade to a motorsport variant and oil changes every 6,000 miles with the previous keeper using only BMW grade Castrol oil. The previous keeper also upgraded the suspension to a full Bilstein B12 kit. This eliminates the common corroded springs and improves the ride quality massively. The car also received new front and rear control arm bushes and had two new rear brake calipers and rebuilt front brake calipers. The exhaust system on this car is completely standard but has had new tips added for a sportier look.
This is an incredibly well-maintained car that drives just as good as it looks. This Z4M will come fully inspected and with a warranty. Contact our sales team for full details.
