Peter began his career repairing crash damaged TVRs, amongst other manufacturers, in his parents’ double garage in the 1980s. Since then, he has gone on to become founder of the Hilton Group, a business that has expanded over the years to include a multitude of different ventures under its umbrella. These include Castle Sportscars, an official Lotus main dealer, Hilton and Moss, a dedicated restorer of classic vehicles specialising in Mercedes-Benz, and Hilton Coachworks, the largest Mercedes-Benz approved body repair facility in the UK. Away from the responsibilities of directing the Group, Peter has a passion for classic British Sportscars, which of course falls hand in hand with his choice of business and drives him to raise our already exacting standards even higher.
Tom has recently joined the business to look after the social media, marketing and PR. Having had a keen interest in cars from a young age, he finally decided the time was right to work with his passion. When he’s not at work, he’s another one spending his spare time doing something not dissimilar to his role day to day – participating in track days on his Suzuki GSX-R 1000 motorbike, or taking to the snow on a snowboard.
Will is the Sales Manager at Hilton and Moss and has now been involved within Hilton Group for two years now. The wealth of knowledge Will has for classic cars runs in the family and he recognises all aspects of Vintage Mercedes and Jaguars which is clearly reflected within the workplace. With a keen eye for anything motor related, when not at Hilton & Moss, Will is found driving and working on old sports cars, which matches his passion for the history of motorsports. Will helps support service and restoration customers through his friendly and approachable nature.
Having joined us in 2013, Ross has become a key member of the team. As Hilton and Moss’ head technician, he’s always on hand to lend a hand to the Castle Sportscars team when required. Ross previously ran a classic car garage, as the workshop manager. Despite his impressive experience with cars, Ross is also highly skilled with computers and electronics, being qualified as an electronics engineer. Having built and fixed computers for a living in the past, Ross now does this as more of a hobby, meaning his affinity for classic car restoration has come to the forefront.
Snibs – or “The Snib” as we like to call him – has been working on TVRs for over 25 years – what he doesn’t know about them isn’t worth knowing. Factory trained and well known to many customers, dealers and TVR employees, Snibs works performs our TVR service, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades.
During his childhood years, Lewis spent his time in and around the family business, which was a garage carrying out general maintenance and restoration work on a variety of vehicles. Having been immersed in the automotive world from a young age, it was clear that this was the path he’d choose for his future career, gaining an extensive mechanical competency by only his teenage years. He quickly became keen on the restoration side of things in particular and soon progressed onto an apprenticeship with Hoyle-Fox Classics for five years, where he specialised in Ferraris and Lamborghinis. To broaden his experience and skills, upon leaving Hoyle-Fox, he worked for a main dealer for 3 years, but quickly found himself yearning to return to the classic car world and back to the restoration work he so loves. These attributes are reflected in the quality and precision of his work here at Hilton & Moss. Outside of business hours, Lewis is found working on his own cars, or racing his Mk1 Escort. Lewis is now an important part of our service and restoration team.
