RGB Elise SC/Exige S
June 2010 sees the launch of the commemorative Special Edition RGB Elise SC and Exige S. Roger Becker (RGB), joined Lotus in July 1966 at the Cheshunt factory. His career began on the Elan production line where he quickly began to showcase his talent as a development engineer. Roger was soon involved in the development of every new Lotus to roll off the production line from the first Europa to the current Evora. His driving skills earned him a driving role in the chase scenes that featured the Esprit S1 in the James Bond Film, the spy who loved me. Roger Becker was instrumental in the development of the highly successful Elise SC and Exige S models.
Roger retired from Lotus and his role as Vehicle Engineering Director in March 2010. To celebrate Rogers 44 years with Lotus, Special Edition Elise SC and Exige S models will be on sale from September 2010. All Special Edition RGB cars will feature Roger’s signature on the exterior and a numbered plaque on the inside of the car. Both models have been designed to Roger’s personal specification.
